While looking for a photo for this blog post and this podcast episode, I stumbled across the image above.
It was an “oh wow!” moment indeed and a great question.
What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
Is there another question out there that is quite as profound as this one with regard to self-limiting beliefs?
I often ask my prospects if they KNEW that they would succeed with an opportunity, wouldn’t they take it?
Of course they would, so what is it that keeps them from doing so?
The answer of course is fear.
Fear is the one emotion that can be paralyzing, that can “keep us in our place” or at least within our comfort zones.
Afraid of losing your job (i.e. your income producing activity) if your opportunity doesn’t pan out.
Afraid of looking silly or stupid…often times from people that have no real impact on your life in the first place.
Afraid of failure, afraid of success, afraid to take any action at all that might rock the boat of mediocrity.
Success isn’t easy, but not because there are struggles that can’t be overcome.
More often than not, it’s the unknown that we are afraid of, what could possibly happen.
I hope you enjoy this podcast.
A quick disclaimer, my mic sock was not on the mic so the audio is a little rough. Sorry about that, but I thought the information was worthy of being posted anyway.
See you at the top!
