Love what you do, Do what you love
Do you ever wonder why it seems so easy for some people to achieve so much with their work, while others struggle along?
Maybe it’s the psychologist inside of me wanting to get out, but I’m one of those folks that are always interested in the motivation behind any person’s success or failure; part of that whole, “what makes people tick,” thing.
Part of the reason for my own motivation to create new, and hopefully, interesting content has to do with the fact that I absolutely love teaching people how to do things online.
Now when I say “things online,” obviously I am referring to marketing and promoting business opportunities online as well as teaching people the skills and methods that I have found that work for me.
No, I’m not the best teacher or mentor on the planet, but I do in fact love just about every second of it, which inspired me to write this article that you are reading now.
For me, if you do what you love then you aren’t working…it’s something more.
Inspired to inspire
I do not have any idea where this concept of teaching others came from, but I knew as soon as I started to do it that I was in for life!
There is just something about helping people overcome personal hurdles to a point where what you have done has made a significant impact, hopefully a positive impact, on people’s lives.
Whatever it is, for me it’s like a jolt of adrenaline! I sometimes think that I get more out of it than the folks that are that are learning how to do the thing I’m teaching!
The point is that I am inspired to inspire and help others and for me that’s a huge win!
What is it that you love to do?
Are you doing it?
In not, why not?
The other day a friend of mine commented on some sort of realization that she had saying, “Man, this life is short….too short to be working all the time just to pay your electric bill.”
I would say it’s worse when the job you are going to day in and day out to pay that electric bill is something you do not enjoy.
Life is short, ask anyone over the age of 50 and they will be more than happy to tell you how fast time flies.
The question is, what are you doing about it?
Are you going to make the next five years look like the last five?
If you are having a good time and find yourself quite fulfilled with those last five years then my hat is off to you.
However, what I have found is that most people just aren’t that happy with where they have found themselves in life. Where they are, and where you are too, is a matter of choices.
All men are self-made, but only the successful admit it – Earl Nightingale
If you want something more then you are going to have to do something more or something differently from what you have been doing.
This isn’t rocket science, it’s common sense.
Online today, there are so many opportunities that can have such a positive affect on your life, but none of them will come to you and none of them will do the work for you.
Decide what you want, a life of doing what you have to do to pay that electric bill, or a life of doing what you love. The choice is yours.
See you at the top!
